Kathy Binder's "Better Than Takeout" Sesame Tofu

Ingredients

1 block tofu - cubed

2T corn starch

1T sesame oil

Secret Sauce:

1/4C coconut aminos

1T soy sauce

1T toasted sesame oil

1t rice vinegar

1T maple syrup

1/2t chili garlic sauce

1t garlic powder

1/2t ginger powder

Garnish: sesame seeds & sliced scallions

Directions

In a medium bowl, mix the tofu cubes with cornstarch.

Heat a pan to medium heat. Once heoted, add the sesame oil and tofu. Panfry, flipping and stirring as necessary until all sides are golden brown.

Whisk all the sauce ingredients in a bowl.

Once the tofu is brown, turn the heat to low and pour the secret sauce into the pan. Stir and combine with the tofu until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.

Garnish with sesame seeds & sliced scallions
