Sausage and Peppers Pasta Sauce with Pork

Ingredients

  • 1lb sweet Italian pork sausage (Wegmans)

  • 1lb hot Italian pork sausage (Wegmans)

  • 32oz sauce leftover from “Sausage and Peppers” or “Sunday Gravy” recipie

  • 1-1.5 lbs linguini

Directions

  1. Boil the pasta.

  2. Heat up the leftover sauce.

  3. Remove the skins if needed and pan fry the ground pork.

  4. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, oregano, parsley, red pepper flakes.

  5. Add to sauce and simmer for a few minutes.

Notes

  • Take 1: Must do again. Used 50/50 sweet and spicy Bianco sausage

  • Take 2: Bianco sausage didn’t at all taste the same

  • Take 3: used 2lbs Wegmans all hot sausage. Was very spicy. Definitely stick to 50/50. Did 2lbs linguini. Next time do 1lb-1.5lbs
