Elegant Lemon Blueberry Cake

1 cup buttermilk

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 cup fresh blueberries

2 cups heavy whipping cream

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour four 8-inch round cake pans.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate bowl, combine the buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and lemon zest. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

Gently fold in the blueberries.

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cake pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

To assemble the cake, place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a generous amount of whipped cream frosting on top. Repeat with the remaining layers.

Frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining whipped cream.

Garnish with lemon slices, fresh blueberries, and edible flowers.
