Italian Easter Bread

2 packages dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
8 tablespoons unsalted butter
8-ounce can almond paste
1/2 cup sugar
4 eggs (1 egg separated)
2 tablespoons grated lemon peels
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup warm milk
4-1/2 - 5-1/2 cups flour
1 cup sliced almonds
วิธีทำ
Soften yeast in water
Beat butter, almond paste, and sugar til fluffy
Add yeast, lemon peel, vanilla, salt, 3 eggs, 1 yolk, milk and 3 cup flour
Beat 2 minutes
Add more flour
Knead 8-10 minutes
Rise 1-1/2 hours
Rise 45 minutes
Egg whites and almonds
Bake at 375 for 20 minutes
Cover, shiny side up 10-15 minutes
