Nan's Bread Pudding

2 x Loaves stale bread
3 Cups BROWN sugar
2 Eggs
2 Teaspoons Allspice
1 Teaspoon Nutmeg
1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
2 Cups Mixed Fruit
1 Cup Currents
Directions
Place bread in large bowl and soak with boiling/hot water – but don’t let it get too soggy – squeeze out excess water if necessary.
Add eggs and mix well.
Add sugar, spices and fruits and mix well.
Transfer into large baking dish or roasting pan and bake in 160 for 1 hour (turning at half time).
Serve by itself hot or cold - or with custard or icecream.

This recipe was passed to me by my mother, who made it from loving memories of her Grandmother's old family receipe.
