Chicken Bacon Ranch Tater Tot Casserole

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
3 cups frozen tater tots
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped (optional for garnish)
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken and ranch seasoning mix. Stir until the chicken is evenly coated.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, milk, and sour cream until well blended.
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with melted butter.
Spread the seasoned chicken evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.
Sprinkle half of the crumbled bacon over the chicken.
Evenly distribute the tater tots on top of the chicken and bacon layer.
Pour the soup mixture over the tater tots, making sure to cover them completely.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the soup mixture.
Top with the remaining crumbled bacon.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the tater tots are golden brown.
Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
Garnish with chopped chives if desired before serving.
