Creamy Mushroom Chicken with Garlic and Herbs

Marinate your chicken:
3 chicken thigh (skin on and boneless)
Salt and pepper (to season)
Cornstarch
2 tbsp of butter
1 onion chopped
4 cloves of garlic minced
200g of sliced mushroom
½ cup of heavy cream
½ cup of chicken stock
1 cup of parmesan cheese grated
2 tsp of Italian seasoning
1 tsp of garlic powder
2 tsp of lemon juice
Garnish: Chives
Directions
How to make Creamy Mushroom Chicken?
Season the chicken thigh with salt and pepper. Coat the chicken with cornstarch and shake off excess. Set aside In a pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken skin side down and fry each side for 4 minutes or until golden brown. Set aside. In the same pan, melt 2 tablespoon of butter. Add the garlic, onion and mushrooms. Stir fry the mushrooms until it has softened and the onion is translucent. Next, pour in the heavy cream, chicken stock and parmesan cheese. Bring it to simmer until the sauce starts to thicken. Then, season with Italian seasoning, garlic powder and lemon juice. Simmer for another minute. Add the chicken back to the sauce and baste the chicken with the sauce. Enjoy with a bowl of rice or mashed potato. Garnish with chives, enjoy!
