Homemade Carmel Sauce

Ingredients

1/4c butter

1/2c brown sugar

1/3c heavy cream

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp maple extract (optional)

Pinch of salt

Directions

Melt butter and brown sugar in saucepan over medium low heat. Stir for 2 additional minutes. Add heavy cream. Mix for an additional 2 minutes while simmering.

Remove from heat. Stir in extracts and salt.

Store in a jar for up to 1 month in the fridge.
