Homemade Naan

Ingredients

Warm water: 130 g (½ cup + 1 tbsp)

Dry yeast: 1 tsp

Sugar: 1 tbsp

Yogurt: 143 g (⅔ cup)

Flour: 250 g (2 cups)

Salt: 1 tsp

Oil: 1 tbsp

For brushing: melted butter, chopped garlic, parsley

Directions

Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let rest 10 minutes until foamy.

Add yogurt, flour, oil, and salt. Mix with a spoon until a dough forms. Cover and let rest 1½ hours until doubled.

Flour your surface and divide the dough into 6 balls.

Take the first ball and gently extend it from the sides like shown in the video, without punching. Make it thinner, but not very thin, and lightly push with your hand.

Heat a non-stick pan on medium-high heat. Place the naan in the pan. Once bubbles appear, flip to the other side.

Cook about 3 minutes per side, brush with butter mixture, and enjoy.
