Scott’s Carne Asada

Ingredients

1-2 lbs skirt steak

4 cloves garlic minced

1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves chopped

juice of 1 orange

juice of 1 lime

juice of 1 lemon

2 whole chipotle peppers with sauce, canned in adobo, chopped

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons light brown sugar

1/3 cup olive oil

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4teaspoon freshly ground black

1/2 white onion thinly sliced

Other options to add for more flavor:

Asian kick 2 tablespoons fish sauce

Earthy 1 teaspoon coriander

Heat: 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced

1 teaspoon chili powder

Directions

Mix all ingredients and pour over steak in ziplock bag for 2hr-24hrs

Grill over high heat
