Sour Cream Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

2 eggs well beaten

1 cup sugar

1 cup sour cream

1 tsp. vanilla

2 cups flour

3 T. cocoa + 1/2 tsp. soda

1/2 cup boiling water

1 tsp. soda

1/2 tsp. salt.

Directions

Beat eggs well, add sugar and sour cream. Add vanilla. Dissolve cocoa in 1/2 cup hot water with 1/2 tsp. soda. Set aside to cool slightly. Add cocoa to first mixture. Add flour, salt and soda. Blend until smooth. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes in 13 x 9 or layer pans. (I usually make layers)

Notes

This was a cake I baked often as we had lot of sour cream on hand. I frosted it with fudge frosting, which was a hit!
