Mom’s Coffee Cake

Ingredients

1 cup butter

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups flour (sifted)

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup sour cream

Topping Ingredients

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup chopped nuts

Directions

In a bowl mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside

In separate bowl, mix together topping ingredients. Set aside.

In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add in egg and vanilla.

Add about 1/3 flour mixture and 1/3 sour cream and mix until combined. Continue mixing in 1/3 flour mixture and 1/3 sour cream at a time.

Grease a 9x13 pan. Pour about 1/2 of the batter into the greased pan. Sprinkle about 1/2 of the topping onto the batter. Pour in the rest of the batter and sprinkle rest of topping onto the top.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
