12 ounces bowtie pasta
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/3 cup sesame oil
1 to 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/2 cup honey roasted peanuts
1/2 cup sliced green onion
Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook 12 ounces bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente, about 10 to 12 minutes. Drain and transfer to a large mixing bowl.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and 1/3 cup sesame oil. Add 1 to 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently, to infuse the oils with flavor.
Add 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 cup soy sauce, and 1/2 teaspoon salt to the saucepan. Stir to combine, then remove from heat. Pour the warm sesame mixture over the cooked pasta. Toss until evenly coated.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow flavors to meld.
When ready to serve, stir in 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro, 1/2 cup honey roasted peanuts, and 1/2 cup sliced green onion.
