Ingredients

I made sweet chilli sauce and I didn’t grow the chillies!

I might not have grown the chilies myself, but I sure know what went into this delicious sauce!

The ingredients are still fresh, and there’s no stabiliser or random unknown ingredients.

Is this what we call Urban Homesteading 🤔

For every 100 grams of fresh chillies you will need;

3-4 cloves of garlic

2cm chunk of ginger

1 ¼ cup (250g) of white sugar

1 ¼ cup of white vinegar

1 tsp of salt

Blitz the chili, garlic, and ginger together.

Directions

Place sugar, salt, and vinegar into a pot, then add the chili mixture.

Simmer for an hour (until it thickens) and bottle into sterilized jars.

Perfect for dipping or drizzling! Will last in the fridge for up to 3 months (or can be canned for a shelf-stable option).
