Vanilla Ice Cream (Custard)

2 cups scalded milk
1 T. flour
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks, beaten
1/8 tsp. salt
1 T. vanilla
2 cups cream
Directions
Mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add eggs and milk, gradually. Cook over hot water 10 minutes, stirring constantly. When cool, add cream and flavoring. Strain and freeze. Make 1 1/2 quarts.
