Healthier Wingstop Lemon Pepper Wings

2 lbs chicken wings
2 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning
[Lemon pepper sauce]
3 tbsp unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp lemon zest
1/2 tsp black pepper (skip if your seasoning is very pepper-heavy, or use less)
1/4 tsp kosher salt (or to taste)
Directions
Prepare The Chicken
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Pat the wings dry with paper towels. Add them to a bowl with the cornstarch and lemon pepper seasoning. Toss until they ar evenly coated.
Bake Chicken
Place on a parchment lined bakig sheet. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until cooked through and crispy.
Make the Sauce
When the chicken is almost done, melt the butter in a small saucepan. Add the garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, and black pepper. Cook for about 1 minute until you can really smell the garlic.
Finish and Serve
Toss the wings with the butter sauce and serve immediately.
