Butter Swim Biscuits

Yields: 9 biscuits
Ingredients:
– 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
– 2 cups buttermilk
– 1 stick butter (8 tablespoons)
– 4 teaspoons baking powder
– 4 teaspoons sugar
– 2 teaspoons salt
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
2. In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
3. Add buttermilk and stir until a moist dough forms.
4. Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Pour into an 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish.
5. Spoon dough directly over melted butter. Spread evenly with a spatula to edges.
6. Cut unbaked dough into 9 squares.
7. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until tops are golden brown.
8. Serve warm—great with jam, honey, or as a savory side.
