Butter Swim Biscuits and Sausage Gravy

Ingredients

Biscuits:

1/2 cup butter, melted

2 1/2 cups flour

4 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp sugar

2 tsp salt

1 3/4 cup buttermilk (substitute 1 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp milk and 2 tbsp lemon juice)

Get buttermilk to room temp

Sausage gravy:

1 pound maple sausage (or regular and add 2 tbsp maple syrup)

1/4 cup flour

2 cups milk

1/2 tsp dried rosemary

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp salt

Pepper and red pepper flakes to taste

Directions

Place melted butter in 8x8 pan

Lightly mix all other ingredients into a batter

Plop batter evenly into butter

Bake from 25 mins at 450

Brown the sausage and add the garlic, maple syrup, rosemary, salt and peppers.

Add the flour once its fully cooked (DONT DRAIN) and mix. Cook for 2 mins.

Slowly add in the milk and cook until thick. If too thick, add 2 tbsp of milk at a time.
