8 slices ham (Black Forest, prosciutto, or honey-glazed)
8 slices cheese (cheddar, Swiss, Gruyère, or mozzarella)
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
2 eggs beaten (for egg wash)
Flour (for dusting)
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the puff pastry slightly on a floured surface.
Layer ham and cheese evenly over one sheet of pastry. Spread mustard if using.
Top with second pastry sheet and press edges to seal. Crimp with a fork.
Brush with egg wash for a golden finish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
