Real Good Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

2 cups flour

1 tsp. salt

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup shortening

1/4 cup butter

1 T. milk

3 T. boiling water

2 egg yolks

1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

Combine all ingredients. Add dry ingredients last. Roll and cut out. Bake at 400 for 6 -8 minutes. Frost with powdered sugar frosting.

We made these many-many times. It was a Christmas treat as well as any time. You kids made these quite often, too.
