Ingredients

5 slices bacon, diced

1 lb frankfurters

14 cup chopped onions

1/4 cup chopped green pepper

1/4 cup finely sliced celery

1 28-oz can tomatoes

1/2 tsp salt

1/8 tsp pepper

Directions

Cook the bacon but do not crisp. Score frankfurters diagonally at 1-inch intervals and brown. Add onions, green pepper and celery and cook until tender but not brown. Stir in tomatoes and seasonings; simmer 8 to 10 minutes, or until thickened. Makes 6 servings.
