Slow Cooker Honey and Soy Pork

6 pork chops
1 teaspoons garlic powder
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 tbsp chicory root syrup or honey
120ml beef stock
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp cornflour
Fresh coriander or parsley, optional
Salt & pepper
Directions
Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat the oil to medium-high heat and brown the pork chops on both sides for 2-3 minutes. Then, add to the slow cooker. Or sear in your slow cooker if you have that option.
In a bowl mix the garlic, syrup, stock, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Then pour over the pork chops.
Cook on low for 4-6 hours.
Remove pork chops from the slow cooker, and place them on your serving plate.
Add the liquid from the slow cooker into a medium pot. In a small bowl, mix the cornflour with 1 tsp of water and stir into sauce
Bring to a light simmer for 1-2 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.
Pour the sauce over the pork chops and sprinkle on the coriander or parsley!
Delicious with steamed rice and some greens🥦
