Tahini Yogurt Sauce

Ingredients

1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt

¼ cup tahini

2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

1. In a medium bowl, mix together the yogurt, tahini, lemon juice, and salt.

2. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Notes

As a young girl, I spent many summers in Israel. Tahini, or sesame seed paste, was part of our everyday dishes. It's added as an ingredient to hummus, made into a dressing to go with schnitzel (fried chicken breast), drizzled over falafel, or tucked inside lamb gyros. Tahini has become one of my go-to ingredients, especially in this unbelievably easy-to-make sauce.
