Apple Dumplings with Crescent Rolls

2 cans (10 oz) Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough
2 Granny Smith Apples
2 sticks Butter
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon
12 oz Mountain Dew
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick spray and set aside.
Peel, core, and cut apples into slices. (You should get 8 slices per apple)
Place an apple slice in each Crescent Roll triangle, starting at the wide end first. Roll to the end, wrapping the narrow tip around the Crescent Roll to keep into place. Place into sprayed pan.
Repeat until all 16 Crescent Roll triangles are filled with apples and placed in the pan.
Combine butter, sugar, and cinnamon over low heat until well mixed.
Pour mixture over entire pan of dumplings, evenly distributing it.
Pour Mountain Dew over entire pan of dumplings.
Bake for 40 minutes. They should be golden brown.
