Directions
→ 1 cup uncooked wild rice weighs 6 oz (170 g).
→ Use 1 part wild rice to 3 parts liquid as a rule of thumb for the absorption method, though I think the boil-like- pasta method works best, as commercial wild rice can take forever to cook properly.
→ Cook hand-harvested rice for 35-40 minutes. Cook commercial wild rice for 1 hour.
→ 1 cup (170 g) uncooked wild rice yields 3 cups (425 g) cooked.
