Baked Ziti

6 oz Ziti or Penne Pasta
1/2 medium Onion (diced)
3 cloves Garlic (minced)
1/2 pound Ground Beef
1/2 cup Dry Red Wine
14 oz can Crushed Tomato
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Dried Crushed Red Pepper
1 cup Ricotta Cheese
4 cups Mozzarella Cheese (shredded) (2 cups + 2 cups)
1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
Directions
Prep:
Dice Onion
Mince Garlic
Thaw Ground Beef (if necessary)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F.
Prepare the Ziti Pasta according to package directions for al dente.
Add Onion and Garlic to a skillet and saute until Onions are tender.
Add Ground Beef and cook, breaking it up as you go.
Add Dry Red Wine and cook for 3 minutes in the skillet.
Stir in the Crushed Tomatoes, Salt, and Res Pepper and reduce the heat to low stirring occasionally for 3 minutes.
Stir in Ricotta and half the Mozzarella Cheese into the hot cooked Pasta.
Grease a baking dish (9"×13") and transfer the pasta mixture to the prepared dish and top it with the beef mixture.
Sprinkle the top of the dish with Parmesan Cheese and the remaining half of the Mozzarella Cheese.
Place the baking dish in the prepared oven and cook for 30 minutes until bubbly.
