Chocolate-Dipped Apple Slices

Ingredients

1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips (about 6 oz.)

1 tsp. coconut oil

2 Honeycrisp apples

Various toppings such as chopped pistachio nuts, toasted sesame seeds, chopped salted peanuts, pink Himalayan sea salt, granola, shredded coconut, toasted pepitas

Directions

Melt the chocolate: Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave at 50% power until melted, about 3 minutes, working in 1 minute intervals. Stir in the coconut oil. Transfer the chocolate mixture to a relatively narrow glass or measuring cup.

Slice the apples: Slice the apples 1/4-inch thick.

Dip and refrigerate the apples: Dip half of each apple slice into the chocolate mixture and place on a parchment paper-lined plate or rimmed baking sheet. Sprinkle immediately with toppings. Refrigerate for 15 minutes or until chocolate is set.
