Ingredients:
– Half and half (amount as needed for base)
– Shredded deli American cheese (white American preferred)
– Peppers and veggies of choice (e.g., fresh pico de gallo)
Directions
1. In a dry non-stick pan over medium-high heat, cook your chosen veggies and peppers until toasty and moisture is mostly gone.
2. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add half and half to the pan and gently heat without boiling, stirring constantly to avoid curdling.
3. Stir in shredded American cheese gradually, mixing until your desired thickness is reached.
4. Serve warm as a dip or topping.
Note: This method creates a smooth, rich queso with great flavor.
