Restaurant Style Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients

Directions

10 ounce fettuccine pasta

4 tablespoons butter

5 large garlic cloves minced

2 cups heavy whipping cream

4 ounces cream cheese softened

about a teaspoon each salt , black pepper, Italian seasoning

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese shredded

3-4 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley

1/2 cup pasta water

1/2 teaspoon chili flakes , Parmesan cheese and parsley for garnish

Cook pasta 1 min shy of cook time it will cook in the sauce

Save some pasta water

Mince garlic and chop parsley

To a pan , add butter on low heat so the garlic doesn't burn

Add garlic and let sauté about 30 seconds- don't burn it

Add in heavy whipping cream and let it cook a minute

Add in the cream cheese and break it up to mix with the sauce (use a whisk if needed )

Add in Parmesan cheese

Add in seasoning (salt, pepper, Italian seasoning) cook on medium heat and the sauce will start to thicken about 2-3 minutes

Tuck in your pasta and pasta water

Let it come together and combine well

Sprinkle in the parsley and chili flakes and serve hot with a salad and garlic bread
