Brown Beef Gravy

2 cups au jus
2 cups beef broth (better than boullion)
4 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 beef oxo cube
1/3 cup bacon fat
1/2 cup cold water + 6 tablespoons corn starch
salt and pepper to taste
red and white wine to taste
Directions
In a medium sauce pan bring au jus and broth to boil over medium-high heat. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, and butter. Bring to a boil and then add oxo cube and bacon fat.
In a small bowl whisk together cold water and corn starch until dissolved. Pour into boiling broth and reduce heat to medium-low. Stir until thickened.
Season with salt, pepper, and wines. Taste and adjust until satisfied.
Notes
Try EZ Gel instead of cornstarch next time to avoid gelatinous texture
