Beef Udon Noodles

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs of frozen wheat udon

  • 1.2 lbs pre sliced beef sirloin

  • Cooking oil (NOT STIR FRY OIL)

  • 3 cloves of garlic (needs more, at least 6)

  • 1 yellow onion (probably need 2)

  • 2 sticks of Broccoli

Sauce

  • 1 tbsp of tamari soy sauce (Next time 2)

  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce (Next time 3)

  • 2 tbsp of honey

  • 1 tsp of sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (LKK)

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (LKK Premium)

  • 1/4 tsp beef bouillon (More? Maybe not)

  • 2 tbsp of water

  • Garlic powder

Directions

  1. Cut beef into strips and marinade beef for 20-30 mins. (Soy sauce, Baking powder, Sesame oil, Rice vinegar, Tamari soy, Garlic powder)

  2. Prepare the sauce, mince the garlic and slice the onions. Boil

  3. Sauté garlic, onion, and broccoli. Use neutral oil

  4. Add frozen udon noodles to boiling water (while vegetables cook) NOTE: udon overcookes very easily

  5. Add noodles and sauce to pan

Notes

NEXT TIME:

  • more water

  • make sure udon isn’t over cooked

  • No stir fry oil (No ginger!)

  • Cornstarch in marinade?

NOTE: rice vinegar only used for marinade
