Creamy Mushroom Pasta Recipe

200g spaghetti (or fettuccine/linguine)
200g button mushrooms, sliced
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
**Cook Pasta:** Boil salted water in a large pot. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente (8-10 mins). Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
**Sauté Mushrooms:** Heat butter and oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms, cooking until golden (5-7 mins). Add garlic, sauté for 1 minute.
**Make Sauce:** Stir in cream and Parmesan, simmering until thickened (2-3 mins). Add reserved pasta water if needed to loosen sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
**Combine:** Toss cooked pasta with the mushroom sauce. Sprinkle with parsley.
**Serve:** Plate immediately, with extra Parmesan if desired.
Tip:** For richer flavor, add a splash of white wine with the cream. Enjoy your umami-packed dish!
