Rice Krispie Treats - Smores

Ingredients

Crust:

1 cup finely crushed graham crackers

3 tablespoons granulated sugar

4 tablespoons melted butter

Melted chocolate layer:

1 cup chocolate chips

Krispy layer:

10 oz bag marshmallows

3 tablespoons butter

6 cups rice krispies cereal

Directions

Preheat oven to 375

For the crust, mix the graham cracker crumbs with the sugar and butter and then press onto a baking pan lined with a silicone sheet. Bake at 375 for 7 minutes, then remove and allow crust to cool

Microwave the chocolate chips on high for 1 minute, whisk vigorously, then microwave in 15 second intervals with vigorous whisking until melted. Pour over cooler crust and spread evenly.

Microwave marshmallow and butter in 1 minute intervals with string on repeat until smooth and melty. Mix with rice krispies in a bowl and then press that mixture onto the chocolate layer with WET fingers.

Cut into squares with plastic knife (no metal on silicone) and enjoy!

Notes

Try using other cereals and combinations! Melted white chocolate or caramel, coco puffs, crushed oreos for crust, reeses puffs etc.
