Zanes' Teriyaki Chicken Strips

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup sake (or bourbon) (8 Tbsp)

• 1/2 cup mirin (8 Tbsp)

• 1/2 cup soy sauce (8 Tbsp)

• 1/4 cup sugar (60 ml)

• Boneless skinless chicken thighs

• 1/2 cup sake (or bourbon) (8 Tbsp)

• 1/4 cup mirin (8 Tbsp)

• 1/4 cup soy sauce (8 Tbsp)

• Boneless skinless chicken thighs

Directions

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

• Combine the ingredients in a measuring cup and heat in a microwave to dissolve the sugar.

• Cut chicken pieces into thirds and place in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour sauce over chicken and turn to thoroughly coat.

• Bake in the preheated oven for 12 minutes. Turn pieces over and bake for another 12 minutes.

• Spoon sauce over chicken and serve.

• ***If using bone-in chicken breasts, bake at 375 for 35-40 minutes.

• ***If you prefer (especially if you are cooking for a shorter amount of time), bring all the ingredients to a boil in a saucepan on the stove and let simmer until thick. Brush the chicken with the resulting glaze.
