Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions

Start by marinating those chicken morsels in buttermilk for at least 1 hour—overnight is even better if you can wait!

In a separate bowl, whisk together your flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. This is where the magic happens!

Heat up some oil in a deep skillet over medium heat until it's nice and hot.

Take the chicken out of the buttermilk, letting any excess drip off, and then coat those pieces in your seasoned flour mix.

Fry the chicken in batches, giving them about 4-5 minutes per side until they’re golden brown and cooked through.
