Ingredients

1 1/2 cups flour

1/2 cup milk

1 egg

3/4 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

Combine egg, salt and milk. Combine flour and baking powder. Add half of flour mixture to milk mixture and stir until smooth. Add remaining flour. You may need to add a bit more flour to make a firm dough. Fill large kettle quite full with water and bring to a boil. Add dough about a half teaspoon at a time. Cook until they rise to the surface, about 5 to 10 minutes. Drain and add to hot broth and reheat to boiling point again, turn heat off and serve.
