Linguini & Clams

Ingredients

1/4 lb. Butter

1 medium Diced Onion

1 1/2 cups Fresh Parsley Leaves, Chopped

1 tablespoon Oregano

1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

4 cans 10 Oz cans whole Clams with Juice(reserve juice)

1/4 cup Marcella Wine

2 8oz Bottled Clam Juice

1 Lb Linguini

1/4 cup Olive Oil

10 cloves Minced garlic

1 tablespoon Lemon Juice

1/2 tablespoon Basil

Directions

1. In a large pot over medium heat melt butter and add olive oil, onion, and garlic. Cook until onion is soft.

2. Add Oregano, Basil, and Cayenne Pepper. Cook for 2 - 3 minutes.

3. Add wine. Cook for 2 - 3 minutes

4. Add Clam juice from cans and bottled juice, bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 - 15 minutes.

5. Add clams, lemon juice,, salt and pepper to taste, simmer 10 minutes.

6. Add parsley and simmer 5 minutes.

7. Prepare linguini noodles. Wash cooked noodles in hot water, drain well, and add to the large pot. Simmer on low heat 15 minutes. Serve
