Creamy Pour-over Baked Potatoes

4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
2 tbsp butter (melted)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ cups heavy cream
½ cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp dried thyme (or Italian seasoning)
Salt & black pepper to taste
Optional:
Chopped parsley
Red pepper flakes
Directions
Preheat
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly grease a baking dish.
Layer the Potatoes
Arrange thin potato slices evenly in the dish, slightly overlapping.
Make the Cream Mixture
In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, melted butter, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Pour evenly over the potatoes.
Add Cheese
Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan evenly over the top.
Bake
Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
Remove foil and bake another 20–25 minutes
Until golden, bubbly, and fork-tender.
Rest & Serve
Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
Garnish with parsley and enjoy 🤍🥔
Tips
Slice potatoes evenly for even cooking
For extra crisp top, broil 2–3 minutes at the end
Add cooked mushrooms or spinach between layers
