Viral Brown Butter Chai Cake

A warm moist brown butter chai cake goes perfect with your morning coffee!
½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter browned
90 g coconut sugar
60g brown sugar
8g vanilla extract
2 eggs
110g chai concentrate
160g whole milk
1 ½ cup (200 g) all-purpose flour
8g baking powder
1g salt
4g cinnamon
2g nutmeg
2g cloves
chai spiced whipped cream:
80g heavy cream
115g unsalted butter
1g vanilla extract
pinch of cinnamon
pinch of cloves
pinch of nutmeg
5g chai concentrate
224g-250g powdered sugar
Directions
In a saucepan, add your butter and brown it. Let it rest until its not piping hot
preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a bowl, cream together the brown butter, coconut sugar and dark brown sugar.
mix in the egg & vanilla!
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and all the spices.
In a liquid measuring bowl, combine the chai concentrate and milk.
add half of the chai mixture to the sugar mixture and slowly combine. add half of the flour as well. Repeat this with the remaining chai mixture and the flour.
pour the batter into the cake pan and bake for around 35-40 minutes!
make the frosting as the cake cools.
Add softened butter, heavy cream and the rest of the ingredients. whip on high speed until you get a desired consistency.
