Instant Pot Short Ribs (galbijim)

- short ribs 
- half a carrot 
- daikon 
- 1 small potato 
- rice cakes ( soak warm water 8 min) 
Sauce
- 1/2 cup water 
- 1 Korean pear (red apple substitute) = 3/4 cups 
- 1/2 onion 
- 6 tbsp soy sauce 
- 2 tbsp brown sugar 
- 2 tbsp honey 
- 2 tbsp mirin 
- 1 tbsp garlic minced 
- 1 tsp sesame oil 
- 5 black peppercorns-whole 
Directions
Prep Meat
- soak in cold water + pour out water 
- boil for 6-8 minutes 
- drain + wash 
- put in instant pot 
Cook
- blend sauce ingredients 
- add to short ribs 
- cook 35 minutes 
- remove meat, add veggies 
- put on sauté for 20 min 
- add rice cakes halfway
