These Tiropitas Are Sooo Insane

Ingredients

Puff pastry (we like the @pepperidgefarm sheets and there’s two in a package so we usually make both rolls and freeze one to have on hand when guests come over).

feta cheese 1 1/2 blocks (we use feta in brine from Trader Joe’s it’s the white container with blue label)

cream cheese 1 1/2 8 oz pack of Philadelphia cream cheese

1 egg (pour about 1/3-1/2 into the mixture so it looks like above and save the rest for the egg wash)

Directions

crumble feta

combine feta and cream cheese and mix

add in egg to cheese mixture and mix

roll out puff pastry

spread cheese mixture in puff pastry but leave an inch of space

brush egg onto that inch of leftover space

roll the puff pastry

out egg wash all over roll

cut into 1” slices

put on pan cheese facing up

put more egg wash on top

bake for 20-25 min at 400 degrees (we usually move between oven racks half way through)

take them out when golden like picture here

Preheat over to 400 degrees. When the Tiropitas starts to rise and darker we usually switch racks for a more even bake.

Serve immediately! They’re best when warm!
