Kirben Bladginda (Pumpkin Squares)

4 c. flour
1 1/2 cup lard
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c milk

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 qt. cooked pumpkin
dash of pepper
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions
Make pastry into small round balls. Roll the dough flat. Fill with pumpkin on one side. Bring other side over and seal. Place in a greased pan and bake at 350 until brown.
Notes
I like to freeze these before baking. (They turn out better than if they are baked and then frozen.)
