Chicken and Dumplings

½ tsp salt per person
2 tbsp Crisco per cup flour
Ice water to mix.
Directions
Boil chicken, skin and tear into small pieces
Save broth for cooking dumplings.

½ tsp salt per person
2 tbsp Crisco per cup flour
Ice water to mix.
Mix flour, salt and Crisco until it’s like coarse meal. Use ice water, just enough to mix, not a soft dough. Roll out on floured board, not dusting flour off.
Roll thin and cut into strips. Drop into boiling broth.
Take spoon and gently move dumplings out of the way.
Cook for about 30 min., add chicken and simmer for 15 min.
