Dressing:
iceberg lettuce (but into wedges)
1/2 c buttermilk
1/2 c sourcream
1/4 c mayo
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
3 garlic cloves (grated)
3/4 c blue cheese (crumbled)
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp pepper
3-4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
2 tsp chives (extra for garnish)
2 tsp dried dill
Toppings:
6-7 slices bacon
2-3 shallots (you can also use store bought crispy onions)
3c frying oil
Instruções
Add all your dressing ingredients to a mixing bowl along with 1 tsp salt. Whisk together while crushing up some of the cheese to thicken it up. Cover & place in fridge for at least an hour.
Use a mandolin to thinly slice your shallots if you have one. Drop them into cold oil & then place them over medium high heat & fry them until nice and golden brown.
Remove them onto paper towel lined tray.
Place your bacon on a baking dish. Place it in a cold oven and bake at 400F for 17-20 mins until it’s nice and crispy.
Remove onto paper towel line tray.
Once it’s done & cooled a bit chop it into smaller pieces.
Once your dressing is chilled taste it & adjust anything to taste.
Cut your lettuce into wedges & remove the outer loose leaves.
Place on serving dish, cover in your dressing, top with shallots, bacon, and chives.
