This cocktail was created in 2016 by Zachary Gelnaw-Rubin at the now closed Lion Lion in New York City (Source: The Madrusan Cocktail Companion by @michaelmadrusan and @zaramadrusan). Itโ€™s a riff on the Business by Sasha Petraske, which itself is a variation on the Gimlet. The difference here is the addition of pineapple, which adds a subtle tropical note and nice frothy mouthfeel. The result is familiar in structure but a little more playful in execution, which fits the name of the cocktail.

BUSINESS WITH PLEASURE ๐Ÿฏ

1ยพ oz. / 52.5 ml. gin

ยพ oz. / 22.5 ml. fresh lime juice

ยพ oz. / 22.5 ml. pineapple juice

ยฝ oz. / 15 ml. honey syrup (2 parts honey, 1 part water)

๋ฐฉํ–ฅ

add all ingredients to shaker tin / add ice and shake until chilled / strain into a chilled coupe or Nick and Nora / garnish with a lime wheel or wedge
