Slow Cooker Hamburger Hash

1/2 cup beef broth ๐ฅฃ
1 pound ground beef , browned and drained ๐
1 teaspoon garlic powder ๐ง
4 large potatoes , peeled and diced ๐ฅ
1 cup frozen peas and carrots , thawed ๐ฅฆ
1 can (10.75 oz) cream of mushroom soup ๐
1 cup cheddar cheese , shredded (optional ) ๐ง
Salt and pepper , to taste
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 onion , chopped ๐ง

Step 1: Brown the Ground Beef ๐ฅ
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
Season the beef with garlic powder , salt , pepper , and paprika . Stir to combine and set aside.
Step 2: Prep the Slow Cooker ๐ฅ
In the slow cooker, combine the diced potatoes , chopped onion , and beef broth . Stir gently to coat the potatoes and onions in the broth.
Add the browned ground beef , frozen peas and carrots , and cream of mushroom soup . Stir everything together until evenly combined.
Step 3: Cook โฐ
Cover the slow cooker and cook on:
Low for 6โ8 hours , or
High for 3โ4 hours ,
until the potatoes are tender and the flavors have melded together.
Step 4: Add Cheese (Optional) ๐ง
If using cheese, sprinkle the shredded cheddar over the top of the hash during the last 15โ20 minutes of cooking. Cover the slow cooker to allow the cheese to melt.
Step 5: Serve ๐ฝ๏ธ
Stir the hash gently before serving to ensure everything is well combined.
Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
Serve hot as-is or with toppings like sour cream, green onions, or extra shredded cheese for added flair.
