WHITE CAKE (THE BEST)

Ingredienti

2 1/4 C Cake flour

1 1/2 C Granulated sugar

3 1/2 tsp Baking Powder

1 tsp Salt

1/2 C Shortening

1 C Milk

1 tsp Vanilla

4 Egg Whites - unbeaten

Istruzioni

Cream shortening and sugar well.

Blend flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to above.

Add 2/3 C milk and vanilla and beat for 2 minutes.

Add rest of milk and egg whites. Beat for 2 more minutes.

Pour batter into 9" X 13" pan and bake @ 350F for 35-40 minutes.

The title "The Best" is typed on Mom's recipe card. I don't know if that was her evaluation or the title of the cake recipe. Regardless, I included it since that's how it's labelled. But, I don't want you to think it's my rating.
