4 cups sourdough bread, cut into 1-inch cubes

1/4 cup olive oil

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Istruzioni

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sourdough bread cubes, olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, sea salt, and black pepper. Toss until the bread is evenly coated with the oil and seasoning.

Spread the seasoned bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet. Make sure they aren’t overcrowded to ensure even toasting.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the croutons are golden brown and crunchy. Stir halfway through baking to promote even coloring.

If you want an extra touch of flavor, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the croutons during the last 5 minutes of baking.

Once done, remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the croutons cool completely. They will continue to get crunchier as they cool.
