Shredded Honey Sesame Chicken

Ingredienti

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs

  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce

  • 1/4 cup (accident) rice wine vinegar (1 tbsp)

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated (1 tsp)

  • 6 cloves garlic, minced (4)

  • 2 tablespoons water

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • sesame seeds for garnish, if desired

  • 2 cup Nishiki rice dry (2.25cup to 3-3.5 cups water)

  • 1-2 teaspoons sriracha, depending on how spicy you would like this

  • 2 scallions, sliced thin, divided (white parts for cooking, green for serving)

Istruzioni

  • marinate

  • low 5 hours

  • Remove chicken

  • Reduce sauce with cornstarch

  • Pull chicken

  • Add sauce and mix

  • add garlic chili or siracha

  • Sesame seeds

  • tasted way too much like reduced/burnt soy sauce

  • Need more of the honey sesame flavor

  • Next time less hoisin sauce. Add sweet soy sauce
