This mozzarella-stuffed Italian meatloaf is juicy, saucy, and loaded with melty cheese in every slice. Classic comfort food with an irresistible Italian twist—easy enough for weeknights and impressive enough for guests.

Ingredients (Serves 6)

For the meatloaf

1½ lbs ground beef (80/20 recommended)

1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs

2 large eggs

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ cup milk

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp paprika

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

For the filling

6–8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese (block or slices)

For the topping

¾ cup marinara sauce

Extra chopped parsley, for garnish

Istruzioni

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or baking dish.

In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, Parmesan, milk, garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, paprika, and parsley until just combined.

Press half of the meat mixture into the pan, forming a well in the center.

Layer mozzarella evenly down the middle.

Cover with remaining meat mixture, sealing the edges well.

Spread marinara sauce over the top.

Bake uncovered for 50–60 minutes, until fully cooked and bubbly.

Rest for 10 minutes before slicing to keep the cheese perfectly gooey.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
